To be told you are moving to the United Kingdom from Africa is a dream come to truefor a lot of young Africans but I was told I was leaving home and moving to the UK I was filled with dread. I was 15 years old and I was going to be leaving behind everything and all the people I grew to know and love. I was worried about what life was going to be like when I moved to the United Kingdom and it wasn’t easy. I struggled to fit in in school and only made friends after three years in my school but what I achieved after was worth every tearful day I had to face. Moving to the United Kingdom was imposed on me by parents and other changes have been imposed on me on by other people in the past so I figured why do I always have to wait for change to be imposed on me. People want consistency in their life but what they don’t realise is that the only thing that is consistent is Change. You don’t have to stop looking for something better because you’re enjoying your current job or business is going well. You must always try and make yourself better and this might involve making very difficult decisions. In today’s ever changing business environment, the only people that are successful are those making changes quicker than everyone else , they are not waiting for the economy or their work situation to change, they are just making the change. A lot of people have been trying to make a decision whether to go in business or to continue working for someone else. Make a decision today whether you will go into business or continue working for your current employers. Whatever you do pick a direction and Go!
